Recreation Center Rules

  • The entrance to the area of the recreation center will only be allowed by swapping a valid membership card in the reader.
  • The membership card is personal, its transfer to another will cancel it. However, subject to the sole discretion of the management, it is possible to transfer the membership to another person irrevocably for a fee of 50 NIS
  • The entrance to the Weizmann Institution (hereinafter, “the Institution”) is only for purposes of accessing the recreation center and is not for other purposes. Membership in the recreation center does not entitle you to use the other facilities of the Institution such as: movies, shows, restaurants etc.
  • In the case of a loss - a new membership card will be issued. The members shall pay the sum stipulated by the management for a new card. In any case it will be forbidden to enter the area of the recreation center without a membership card or a temporary authorization.
  • Members with cars may enter the facilities of the Institution on their way to the recreation center, on foot or in their private vehicle, for which case they will be given a special sticker of their car, to be provided upon registration. Members oblige to park their cars in the parking lots designated for guests , next to the recreation center only (hereinafter: “the designated areas”). The parking of external members will not be allowed around the campus of the Institution, apart from the designated areas. It is strictly forbidden to use the parking spaces designated for the center and / or the Weizmann Institution not for visiting the center.
  • The member must follow all the directions and the regulations distributed by the center management by the written publications that can be found around the recreation center and on its website. Also, the member must flow the oral instruction so the employees and the management representatives. Guests are obliged to follow the rules and regulations of the recreation center and maintain an appropriate atmosphere. Guests will be accompanied by their hosts while they stay at the recreation center. Hosts will be deemed responsible for the conduct and behavior of their guests.
  • The members oblige to maintain the property of the recreation center and the Institution, in all its shapes. Furthermore, the member is obliged to maintain the areas of the recreation center clean and refrain from harming the fauna.
  • The opening and closing times of the recreation center and its various facilities will be according to the publications on the bulletin boards. The center management may change opening and closing times if only it alerts the members about these changes in advance, by publishing them on the bulletin boards.
  • The recreation center is open for members seven days a week, apart for cleaning purposes. The center management may change these dates according to need.
  • The management maintains the privilege to shut down the center, entirely or in part, for members, to hold local, national and international sports event or other venues, for no more than ten years annually.
  • Do not leave clothes and other personal belongings around the facilities, the center management is not responsible for abandoned belongings.
  • Children under 12 years old will not be allowed to enter the facilities without an adult.
  • The members must behave politely and quietly when staying in or around the center, so as not to disturb others to enjoy the center and not to harm its correct management. Use of coarse, insulting, harming, rude and noisy language is strictly forbidden. Members / guests must not badger other members and / or staff and management.
  • Parents and/or escorts are responsible for the behavior of their children and the children they accompany, whenever they stay at the center. Any violation by the children may cause the termination of membership.

 

  • Members will be allowed to purchase guest cards. The sale for Saturdays and holidays will be conducted on weekdays. There is no sale on Saturdays and holidays. Guests are obliged to follow the rules and regulations of the recreation center and maintain an appropriate atmosphere. Guests will be accompanied by their hosts while they stay at the recreation center. Hosts will be deemed responsible for the conduct and behavior of their guests.
  • Use of the gym is only allowed for registered members and not for their guests.
  • Use of the sports facilities is only allowed in full sports attire and shoes.
  • The center management shall publish, from time to time, instructions regarding the use of the various facilities. The publication of these instructions on the bulletin boards or in a pamphlet to the members will become a part of these rules, with all that derives from it.
  • The entrance to the fitness club is subject to issuing a medical questionnaire and health declaration, or a relevant medical certificate.
  • It is strictly forbidden to insert alcoholic beverages to the facilities of the recreation center and/or the Institution.
  • It is strictly forbidden to insert any kind of animal to the facilities of the recreation center and/or the Institution.
  • It is strictly forbidden to feed any animals, including cats and/or distribute animal food in the facilities of the recreation center and/or the Institution.
  • It is strictly forbidden to play cards, luck games or gamble on money in the facilities of the recreation center and/or the Institution.
  • It is strictly forbidden to insert any type of nuts (seeds, peanuts etc) in the facilities of the recreation center and/or the Institution.
  • It is strictly forbidden to smoke in the facilities of the recreation center.
  • It is strictly forbidden to play music in the facilities of the recreation center.
  • The center management may, subject to its sole discretion, to hold and / or stop the activity of the sports teams playing in the various options that exist, and also determine the capacity of their activity, and whether to enable them to use the sports facilities in the center or not.
  • Using the facilities in the gym and sports hall, are only allowed under the supervision of the responsible instructor, subject to the procedures of these facilities. Using the other facilities will be done cautiously, with self review, and in the responsibility of the member.
  • The center and / or institution management will not be held responsible for any injury and / or damage caused to a member due to malpractice or in the fault of another member and / or visitor in the center and / or the Institution. Any individuals in the vicinity of the recreation center are obliged to act and use the center and its facilities with the utmost caution to ensure the wellbeing and safety of the others. The responsibility for any injury or physical or material harm, which will be caused due to the negligence of the individuals present in the center, will be on the negligent individuals.
  • Membership termination or rejection:
  1. The center management preserves the right to terminate the membership of an individual or a guest, subject to its sole discretion, if his conduct is inappropriate to the staff, the other members or guests; or if his conduct is against the regulations; or if he endangers himself and/or others; or he damaged the facilities of the center, its employees or visitors. If the damage is intentional, the member / guest (according to interest) will be charged with the full cost of the repair. If a membership is terminated the member will be refunded with the unused part of his membership.

 

  1. The center management preserves the right to prevent the entrance of an individual, or to reject an application to be accepted as member, or to reject a renewal application, based on its sole discretion, if the individual behaved inappropriately towards the staff, the members of the guests; or if he broke the rules or procedures of the recreation center; or if he induced damage to the center, to any of its employees or visitors; or if he endangered himself and/or others by his behavior.
  • A request to freeze the membership in the center will be submitted in writing and in advance to the management before the freezing period begins. These requests shall not be allowed retroactively. A retroactive request shall not be granted.
  • Freezing a membership for more than three months.
  • The recreational center management shall allow freezing the membership only in exceptional cases subject to a written advance notice! Freezing the membership will be allowed only once.
  • Freezing the membership requires proper approvals with a detailed letter and approval of the manager.
  • No retroactive freezing allowed, in any case.
  • In a couple or family membership, the freezing will be complete and include both members. In the case of a family membership, the freezing will be valid for the entire family. It is impossible to freeze the membership of one member of the couple or family.
  • Members freezing their membership who own a car must return the parking sticker to the office.
  1. The membership can be terminated in writing only, in which case the cancellation will be deemed valid one month after the delivery of the message in writing (the notice period). It shall be mentioned that there is not refund for the relative part of the month and that the notice period will be counted from the end of the calendar month in which it was delivered.
  2. In the case of cancelling the membership, the member will be debited with the following sums:
  • Registration and membership fees for the months from purchasing the membership up to the validation of its cancellation.
  • The difference between the cost of the monthly membership paid by the member and the cost of the monthly membership which is 800 NIS per month, if only the cost of this difference does not exceed the following sums (the lower of the two):
  • If the membership was terminated on the first trimester - 25% of the cost.

On the second trimester - 20% of the cost.

On the third trimester - 17% of the cost.

  • The sum the member had to pay if the membership was not cancelled for the remainder of the membership, to its original termination.
  • Cancelling the membership within 14 days of the transaction will be debited in a cancellation fee of 100 NIS.
